Mes nouveaux plafonds
Should we always consider a building site as a transitional state between nonexistent and erected the building? The state would ignore the process of appropriation by both workers and by those who squat construction sites abandoned and who leave traces. This would be especially ignore the physical presence of stone, sand, traces of humans. What is ultimately the nine except what we decide to see without preconceptions. My work wants to question the old and the new. Find what it has to be completed in the unfinished and vice versa, making between, a full condition. This research reveals traces of a vision of the time in a scattering of various moments in the brand space. These traces, I draw them in the city of Lubumbashi, which has both architectural styles from colonial inspirations and more recent buildings.
